The Kiwanis Club of Tabb, Tabb (Yorktown) Virginia
What's the Club about and
what do we do?
First of
all, we have fun!
No organization lasts that doesn't fulfill its members and
give them a sense of accomplishment. We try to make
our meetings and our other activities as pleasant and
meaningful as possible. Whether supporting the Annual
4th of July festival in Yorktown or the Tabb YMCA
Oktoberfest, we enjoy each other's company.
We raise money
for many worthy causes. One of our principal
recipients is the Children's Hospital of the King's
Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. Along with 39 other
Kiwanis Clubs in Hampton Roads, we are contributing funds to
procure a new ambulance / transporter.
We provide tutors
in local schools for reading programs, and
support to other
school programs, such as the After Prom parties designed to
keep teens in a wholesome environment on their special
night.
We believe in our club and the Kiwanis
International and all the wonderful things the organization
does.
