  • "Books for Breakfast" Program sponsored by the Tabb Kiwanis Club was wrapped up at the end of May with 206 children served. Over 200 children's books purchased with Tabb Kiwanis Club funds were distributed to the students who participated in the free breakfast programs at Poquoson Primary and Poquoson Elementary Schools. To show our love for both children and books, Tabb Club partnered with Poquoson Public Library to provide this annual outreach literacy program for young children in our community. Each child received 2 free books and listened to the book talks while they were enjoying breakfast. A gold label with "A Gift from Tabb Kiwanis Club" was placed on the back cover of each book. This Club project puts books on the home shelves of children who might not have many books "of their own", and encourages literacy within the community. Thank you Tabb... Elizabeth Tai.
